While renovating our 1990s era home a few years ago, I was handed blueprints that looked like an ancient treasure map.

I began to form grand ideas of glossy subway tiles, beautiful light fixtures and vintage brass hardware pulls, but first I had to tackle the most daunting steps- putting cohesive ideas together and starting the project.
